What is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of improving your online presence so your business shows up higher when people search for services like yours. For contractors, this means getting in front of homeowners in your area when they’re actively looking for your service.
What is Google Maps SEO?
Google Maps SEO is about optimizing your Google Business Profile so you show up in the Map Pack — the top 3 listings that appear on Google Maps when someone searches “plumber near me” or “best painter in [City].” Most customers click on those top results before scrolling any further.
Why is ranking on Google Maps so important?
Over 70% of people searching for local services click one of the top 3 businesses on Google Maps. If you’re not there, your competitors are getting those calls and jobs.
How does SEO actually work?
Google looks at hundreds of factors to decide who ranks higher. The main ones are:
- Relevance (Does your profile/website clearly explain your services?)
- Proximity (Are you located in or near the area being searched?)
- Authority (Do you have strong reviews, backlinks, and consistent info online?)
We improve all three by optimizing your site, creating content, building backlinks, and managing your Google profile.

General Service Questions
What exactly does Home Services Growth Engine (HSGE) do for my business?
We help your business rank in the Top 3 on Google Maps or Google Search for keywords related to your services. This includes SEO optimization, website creation/optimization, backlinking, content creation, and technical improvements.
What does “Top 3 ranking” mean?
It means your business shows up in one of the first three spots on Google Maps or Google Search results for at least one relevant keyword (not including paid ads).
What is a heat map?
A heat map is software-generated proof showing how your business ranks in different parts of your service area. We send you this proof once you’ve achieved Top 3 rankings.
How long does it usually take to rank in the Top 3?
We guarantee Top 3 placement within 90 days after your Google Business Profile is verified. Most clients see progress faster, but timing depends on your market and competition.
Costs & Payments
Do I pay anything upfront?
No. We waive the normal $7,500 deposit. You only pay once you achieve a Top 3 ranking.
When is my first payment due?
Once you reach the Top 3, you’ll pay a one-time $1,500 fee within 3 business days.
What are my ongoing costs?
After the $1,500 fee, you’ll be billed $1,300/month for 12 months (includes service, hosting, AI content tools, and call-tracking number). Payments are auto-debited via ACH on the 1st of each month.
What happens after 12 months?
The contract auto-renews for another 12 months unless you cancel in writing at least 30 days before the next billing cycle.
Can I cancel anytime?
The only cancellation option is if we fail to get you in the Top 3 within 90 days of your profile verification. Otherwise, canceling early is considered a breach and you’ll owe the full contract amount.
Are payments refundable?
No. All payments are final, and the contract specifically prohibits chargebacks or disputes through your bank.
Why do I have to give my bank info?
Payments are auto-debited through ACH. This avoids credit card fees and keeps costs lower for you.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The only fees are the $1,500 one-time fee and the $1,300 monthly package once you’re ranked. Optional extras (like GMB setup) are clearly listed.
Can I pause payments if I’m not ranking anymore?
No. Once you’ve reached Top 3, the contract continues regardless of natural ranking fluctuations.
Performance & Guarantee
What keywords count as proof of performance?
Any keyword combination related to your services, location, and modifiers. Example: “Best painter in Miami,” “Flooring contractor near me,” or “Kitchen remodel in Tampa.”
What happens if I don’t rank in the Top 3 within 90 days?
You may cancel the contract at no cost. We absorb the expenses and labor invested.
Can you guarantee I’ll be #1, not just Top 3?
Our agreement is based on Top 3, but many clients reach #1 as we continue optimization.
What if my competitor is also working with you?
We only work with one client per trade per service area, so you’ll never compete against another one of our clients locally.
Client Responsibilities
What do I need to provide to get started?
You’ll complete onboarding forms, provide access to your Google Business Profile, upload media (photos, logos), and connect your Google account to our dashboard.
Why do I need to leave positive reviews?
Google values credibility. You must add at least 5 positive reviews (rating 4 or higher) within 60 days to keep your rankings strong.
What happens if I move locations or change my address?
Changing your address during the agreement triggers full payment of the contract balance, since it resets your Google profile and impacts SEO.
Website & Setup
Will you build me a new website?
Yes. As part of the service, we create a fully optimized website designed to help you rank in the Top 3.
Do I have to use a new domain?
Yes, we’ll build your new site on a new domain for the best ranking results — but you can still keep your old website live if you’d like.
Do I have to delete my old website?
No. Your old site can stay live if you want. We’ll just make sure the new site and assets we build are fully optimized for ranking.
Where will the A2P number be listed?
Only on the assets we create or optimize — such as your new website, Google Business Profile, press releases, and backlinks. This way, you’ll know exactly which calls and leads came from our work.
How many pages will my new site have?
Typically 100+ pages to cover your services and service areas. We’ll also include a blog section where we publish multiple posts each month to strengthen rankings across more keywords and locations.
Will the website belong to me?
The website is part of the SEO system we build to get you ranked. Think of it as a fully managed asset you lease as long as we’re working together. If it’s not working, you wouldn’t want it — and if it is working, it makes sense to keep it running with us so results continue. A buyout option is available if you want full ownership.
Can I keep my old website up?
Yes, you can keep it live if you’d like — we just build and optimize a new one that’s designed to rank.
Will you use my logo, photos, and branding?
Yes, we’ll use your branding where available, and we can also create new content if needed.
How fast will my new website be live?
We can have a fully functioning site up in about 15 days once we have your info.
What happens to the website if I cancel?
Since the site is part of our SEO system, it goes offline if you cancel. But if it’s working and bringing in leads, most clients find it makes sense to keep it running.

What is the A2P number and why do I need it?
The A2P number is a dedicated tracking line placed on your website and Google listing. All calls still ring directly to your business phone as usual, but now every call is logged in our CRM with text and email alerts. This lets us track leads, prove ROI, and give you full visibility without changing how you receive calls.
I get a lot of spam calls—will the A2P number cause more?
Spam calls happen to every business line, not just tracking numbers. However, having a dedicated tracking line lets us filter and measure legitimate leads separately.
Will I see where my leads are coming from?
Yes - every call, text, and lead through your A2P number is tracked in your CRM with recordings and details.
Will the tracking number confuse my customers?
No. It forwards directly to your phone, so customers won’t notice any difference.
Can I keep the A2P number if I cancel?
No. The number is part of our tracking system, but you’ll always know exactly what came from us.

Do I get access to a CRM to manage my leads?
Yes. We give you access to our GoHighLevel-powered CRM, where you can see every call, text, form submission, and lead we generate for you.
What can I do inside the CRM?
You can:

Will I need to learn complicated software?

Can I keep the CRM if I leave?
The CRM is part of our system, so it’s included while we work together. If you cancel, your access will be turned off.
